South Town Coconut comes from Alamo Distilling Co., a craft distillery on East Houston Street in San Antonio, Texas. The team there makes bourbon, vodka, gin, rum and specialty liqueurs. With this one, they bring you a taste of the tropics in two flavors.
The first flavor is all about coconut. It has a rich, creamy coconut taste. A smooth finish lingers after each sip. The aroma is fragrant coconut, so you feel the beach before you even take a drink. It suits slow evenings and easy island-style drinks.
The second flavor goes tangy, sweet and spicy. It is built around chamoy, with spice and a little sweetness on the nose. On the palate it gives you a lively kick that wakes everything up. Next to the mellow coconut, it makes a fun contrast.
Both are simple to use. Stir them into classic cocktails, invent a new house drink, or pour them neat to taste them on their own. Ice and a squeeze of lime work well with either one.
These spirits are a good fit if you like to play with tropical flavor. Cocktail fans and party hosts will get the most out of them. Set both out at your next gathering and let your guests pick a favorite.
