Poggio alle Sughere Morellino di Scansano is a Tuscan red from the Maremma estate of Lionello Marchesi. Built around Sangiovese, it offers an elegant, harmonious profile with persistent fruit character. Careful maturation supports its structure while preserving the expressive character associated with this coastal Tuscan appellation.
Food Pairing: Pairs best with grilled beef, wild boar ragu, roasted pork, and aged pecorino cheese.
85 Points - Wine Enthusiast
This has subdued aromas suggesting black-skinned fruit, leather and Mediterranean scrub. The simple palate is evolved, evoking dried Marasca cherry and a hint of clove alongside dusty fleeting tannins. It closes on an astringent note reminiscent of powdered sage.
